CHARITY AT THE DOWNS
We have all been shocked by the news of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. This term our Charity Fund Raising activities will focus on raising money, in particular, to help alleviate the terrible suffering of the children there. At Assembly on Monday the Headmaster, Mrs Grout and ten children demonstrated the contents of one of the Rotary Clubs Green Disaster Boxes. each box and the contents cost £490 and we plan to raise enough money to buy two.
Details of the activities to follow but one suggestion is that Mr Cook sleeps in the tent on the school lawn for a week!
